Outside body

The Local Government Association (LGA) Fire Commission provides a forum to discuss matters of common interest and concern to fire authorities. 

All fire authorities (including combined fire and rescue authorities and principal authorities e.g. County Councils) in full or corporate membership of the LGA have the right to representation and voting on this Commission in accordance with Article 13 (and Annex 2) of the LGA Constitution, Standing Orders and Political Conventions.

Additional members from fire authorities appointed as necessary by the political groups to ensure political balance as provided by Article 3.3 of the LGA Constitution.
